Amit Bhandari joins Planet Marathi as the Senior Vice President

A few months ago, ‘Planet Marathi OTT’ was launched and there was a lot of discussion about it’s beneficial aspects to Marathi film industry. One by one from the Team Planet Marathi OTT was introduced. There’s a new addition to the team, a versatile Mr Amit Bhandari. After working for a reputed newspaper, a leading news channel and for some time on an entertainment channel for the last several years, Amit Bhandari is now starting his new innings with ‘Planet Marathi’.
‘Planet Marathi’ has always been experimenting with new ideas in the world of entertainment. The company was founded in 2017 by Akshay Bardapurkar, the founder of Planet Marathi. Gradually entering the field of filmmaking, the company has created it’s own space. Now that a big name like Amit Bhandari is being associated with this company, the quality of the artwork will be elevated. When asked about Amit’s inclusion and job profile, he said that he will work for Planet Marathi – Film Production, Planet Marathi OTT and Planet Talent. The appetite of today’s audience is not limited to movies or series. Therefore, the richness of art, tradition that enriches the taste and captures the reflection of the changing times, will be launched by ‘Planet Marathi’ in Marathi on the their own OTT platform.  Therefore, while maintaining the quality, viewers will get to see content-based refreshing stories on Planet Marathi. He says that he has taken this step with a view to matching the equation of combining artistry and semantics by doing justice to the motto ‘Ma Manacha, Ma Marathicha.’

Mr Bhandari  has chosen the path of ‘Planet Marathi’ who believes in the movement, for the benefit of Marathi entertainment industry, started by Akshay Bardapurkar, who is flying the flag of Marathi at the global level, for this purpose. Observing the changing meaning of Marathi entertainment, he expressed his intention to do talent management and film production with OTT. During the launches of ‘Yuva Sakal’, ‘Mumbai Times’, Star Mazha (now ABP Mazha) and Sony Marathi, Amit Bhandari successfully faced new challenges. Amit Bhandari, who has been in the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industry for more than a decade and a half, has a rich experience and the brand of ‘Planet Marathi’ will add new dimensions to the new endeavours”, said Akshay Bardapurkar, CEO of Planet Marathi.
Amit Bhandari will take over as the Senior Vice President of Planet Marathi. He will oversee film production, talent management and OTT finance and art production. He expressed that he has ideas to maintain the quality which will bring the Marathi viewers back to the theatres or other screens while bringing value-added entertainment for the audience.
