Amitabh Bachchan and Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Jhund’ to release on 18th June 2021!
When Dadasaheb Phalke award winner Amitabh Bachchan and National Award winning director Nagraj Manjule came on board for “Jhund’ a lot of curiosity was raised by the association. Mr Manjule gave path breaking National Award winning film ‘Sairat’ which changed the economics in Marathi film industry. Sairat was remade in Hindi by Karan Johar named ‘Dhadak’ starring debutant Janhvi Kapoor and ishaan Khattar. Amitabh is an evergreen actor who is hungry for meaty ones even at this advanced age.
In the ‘Jhund’ poster, Amitabh is seen standing in the back posture and staring at the Red and White football kept in slum area. Sharing then the film’s poster, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, ‘JHUND … JORK !! … JHUND … herd ‘. It was scheduled to release on 20th September 2019 but due to some unavoidable circumstances the release was postponed to 2020. But 2020 was marred by corona virus pandemic where theatres were closed and movies couldn’t be released. Now since the things was crawling back to normalcy, the makers of ‘Jhund’ announced it’s release date. Jhund is coming to meet viewers in theatres on 18th June 2021.
The film Jhund is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, Sandip Ssingh & Meenu Aroraa under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment & Aatpat.
Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule will release in theatres on 18th June 2021.
