An anthem to celebrate biodiversity, Bhamla Foundation and Hungama launch ‘Dhakk Dhakk Dharti’
Bhamla Foundation, an organization that works to address health, environment and cleanliness issues, in partnership with Hungama, India’s leading digital entertainment company, launched #DhakkDhakkDharti anthem today. Created in collaboration with celebrated singer, Shaan, the anthem is a part of Bhamla Foundation’s efforts to increase awareness on the significance of biodiversity and the need to conserve it. The song is in sync with the United Nations’ theme for World Environment Day and is supported by them and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The anthem is now available on Hungama Music, Hungama Play, Hungama Artist Aloud and other partner networks; the music video will be available from 5th June onwards.
Composed by Shaan with lyrics by Swanand Kirkire, the song features vocals by Adnan Sami, B Praak, Palak Muchhal, Papon, Payal Dev, Richa Sharma, Salim Merchant, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan and Shweta Mohan, with the video featuring them along with Akshay Kumar, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Maniesh Paul, Swanand Kirkire and Shiamak Davar, who has also choreographed the song. The song highlights the importance of biodiversity and urges everyone to unite and work together to protect it in order to create a greener and healthier environment.
Bhamla Foundation will also host a digital event to mark World Environment Day. To be held on Friday, 5th June 2020, 7 pm onwards, the event can be streamed on Hungama Music, Hungama Play, Bhamla Foundation and TikTok India’s own account on TikTok, Facebook pages of Hungama Music and Hungama Artist Aloud, along with the YouTube channels of Bollywood Hungama and Hungama Artist Aloud. Additionally, users will also be able to enjoy the event through Hungama Play on MX Player, Airtel Xstream App, Tata Sky Binge on smart TVs like OnePlus TV, CloudWalker and TCL, along with ISPs like ACT Fibernet, ANI Networks, Alliance Broadband, Netplus and Meghbala Broadband. Additionally, Hungama’s association with Xiaomi will enable users to watch the event via Hungama Play on Mi TV and Mi Video. The event will also be available on ZEE5 and JioTV. The event will include live musical, dance and comedy performances and also feature some of the most renowned artists from the entertainment industry including Akshay Kumar, Kapil Sharma, Dia Mirza, Tapsee Pannu, Rajkumar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Shaan, Sophie Choudry, Shankar Mahadevan, Swanand Kirkire, Shiamak Davar, Richa Sharma, Salim Suleiman, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Emiway Bantai, Adnan Sami, B Praak, Palak Muchhal, Papon, Prasoon Joshi, Shekhar Suman and Anita Dongre. This is in addition to representatives and officials from the United Nations, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Praful Patel, Member of Parliament and Shri Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of State Bank of India.
