Aneeta Patel Roshni does ‘Girl Talk’, compares actors with crackers in a fun way
Director Aneeta Patel Roshni is having a good festive season this year. Her recent directorial Girl Talk is getting superb response from the masses. Her web series is resonating loud and clear with the current generation of men and women, who are getting entertained out and out. The filmmaker has more than one reason to celebrate Diwali and Dhanteras this year.
“Diwali this year will be very special to me as I have more than one reason to celebrate, Girl talk is being loved and appreciated and I will be starting my next project post-Diwali so I’m looking forward to being back on set,” she says and adds, “No women ever said no to buying jewellery, and Dhanteras is the perfect excuse. Diwali to me has always been about Laxmi puja, home made sweets, and Diwali dinners at home with loved ones which unfortunately won’t be possible this year for obvious reasons. But I think this year to just be with family will make it a little more special and meaningful,” shares an excited Aneeta.
Sharing her plans for Diwali this year, she further says, “I will spend Diwali with my family and be grateful for everything we’ve been through this year cause it’s been hard, life did come to a standstill but Diwali this year I’m sure will give all of us hope that we will survive this time (covid and restrictions it bought to one and all).”
Spilling beans on what in her opinion are Bollywood equivalents of fireworks. Aneeta gives a fun response. “I like a mixed bag of crackers so I’d say Vijay Verma, chota packet bada dhamaka, I loved him in ‘She’, he creeps you out. Pankaj Tripathi, he’s that 10000 ka ladi, 1 loved him in Gunjan Saxena. We need more fathers like him so no daughter ever feels inferior to a man, not that she should anyway. Salman Khan is a phooljhadi Diwali is incomplete without a sparkler isn’t it. Give him pink pants in Judwaa or the Akhada in sultan, he just sets you on fire,” shares the versatile filmmaker.
