The #Jhakaasactor has been #mesmerizing us with all his #distinctcharacters and we are definitely in #love with them all. #Reminiscing his chilled #musical character from the #film and the #magic that the film created, we were able to #redefine our #classictaste in #music. The movie #won many #accolades along with #hearts. From #SubhashGhai’s perfect direction to #A.RRahman’s #melodiousmusic score, the movie has quite given us some #distinctnotes to hum on.

The movie is based on a musically set background and savors the love story of two young people who hail from contrasting backgrounds. Akshaye Khanna (Manav Mehta) and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Mansi Manhuja) play their roles perfectly. Anil Kapoor’s role (Vikrant Kapoor) as the famous music director who falls in love with Mansi as he gets to know her musical talent after she breaks up with Manav gives us a new take on this musical romance. The love triangle set around the background of ear-soothing Indian classical music still come fresh in the mind. A. R Rahman’s musical score absolutely takes us by breath and we still can’t get over the masterpieces.

We cannot forget the delicate rhythms of “Ishq Bina” and rejoice, rewinding the video song in our minds. Asha Bhosale’e song “Kahi Aag Lage” gives us a broken but fierce take on love and we can’t help but savor it. The other melodies of the film – “Taal Se Taal”, “Ramta Jogi”, “Kariye Naa”, and others still give us the musical swing.

The movie was released today on August 13, 1999, and completed 23 years of its release. 2 decades after its release, the film still gives us nostalgic vibes and a reason to fall in love with it more and more.
