Ankit Siwach plays a flautist in an award-winning short film ‘Khidki’!
Ankit Siwach featuring short film Khidki recently went live. It is a 16 minute-long short film shot in Mumbai. Sumit Mishra has helmed the project. Vanita Joshi, who plays Amba, was last seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Laxxmi. The feedback around the project has been pleasing and the actor is thrilled. Siwach plays a musician in the film that toured many festivals.
“Being a painter, art director, writer, and poet, Sumit Mishra made sure that every frame looks magical and the story touches a chord with the audience,” adds Siwach. About the festival run of Khidki, the actor says that the film has already been screened in 22 national and international film festivals.
“It has won 13 awards for various categories. It’s an out-of-the-world feeling when you know your work is being critically appreciated at various platforms. After completing its journey in the festivals, it was released on MX player recently and the response the streaming platform has been getting is overwhelming,” he shares.
As an artist, the experience and exposure of being a part of such an interesting project, Siwach is hopeful to do better work in the coming times. “I would say, the more, the merrier; as an artist, I am always hungry for newer challenges in terms of story, character, and platform, etc and Khidki ticks all the boxes. It is very satisfying to be a part of a project like this, especially the amazing team. My next Banaras Vanilla is a feature film. The same team that worked on Khidki is behind this film as well. We are looking for it to release soon,” he wraps up.
