Ankush Chaudhari unveils Mumbai’s first “Chitale Express”
Among all its specialities, Pune is also known for the Chitale’s Bakarwadi tickling the taste buds for more than six decades. Chitale Group which has been known for its quality even for other products in namkeen and milk food products, has launched another initiative Chitale Express to make all its product available through its authorised franchise. The first franchise in Mumbai has been launched at Ranade Road, Dadar West on January 28, 2021. It was inaugurated by Marathi superstar Ankush Chaudhari, Kedar Chitale, Girish Chitale, Sanjay Chitale from Chitale Group and Arti and Atin Kamble who operate Mumbai’s first Chitale franchise, amid huge response by the customers.
Chitale Group founded 62-years ago sells 3,000 kilos of its popular Bakarwadis daily, and exports it to numerous countries including United States, Israel and Singapore. Founded in 1950 in a small space of 500 sq ft, the chain of shops has now spread its wings across Pune and its products in many cities in India and the world. Though all their products in the segments of namkeens, milk and milk products are popular, the group generates more profound recall value for its Bakarwadi.
With an annual turnover of about Rs 200 crore and daily footfall of about 5,000 customers, the brand Chitale has been a part of celebration for many of the city’s households. The products at all Chitale outlets are as rich as its heritage with over 60 different sweets and 40 namkeens. The Chitale products will now be available through Chitale Express in Mumbai. Located at – Shop No. 2, Plot No 217, Shri Swami Samarth Krupa, Ranade Road, Dadar West, Mumbai – 400028, the Chitale Express is operated by Arti and Atin Kamble. Kambles have been authorised stockist for Mumbai for Chitale products for years.
Shri Kedar Chitale, partner Chitale Group said on the occasion, “Chitale Express is our new initiative to market out products with good shelf life across the country. The products will now be available through Chitale Express on franchise basis. The shop will have all our products including curd, shrikhand, ghee in milk product segment, Bakarwadi, chivada in namkeens, mango barfi, kaju katli, pedhas in sweets.”
He further added, “According to the franchise model, an operator can sell only our products from at least 400 sq ft of shop. Since our stockist in the respective cities make our products available within stipulated time, the Chitale Express will dispense fresh products. The products are now made available across the country by using modern technology.”
Elaborating on the future plans of the Group, Shri Kedar Chitale said that they have resolved to open at least one Chitale Express per suburb in Mumbai in near future. “We neither compete with anybody nor do we believe in copying any other product. Our cultural values and standard of products have made us stand different above all. We are not eyeing any particular community or area, but want entire Mumbai to be our target audience,” he added.
Arti and Atin Kamble said, “We have been stockist and supplier for the Chitale Group products for years. We have been, thus, share a bond with these products for years. We are happy to launch first Chitale Express in Mumbai. We can now be able to get directly connected to the ardent lovers of the Chitale productsby providing them their favourite products without any hassle.”
