Applause Entertainment’s ‘The Rapist’ wins Kim Jiseok Aw ard at the 26th Busan International Film Festival 2021!

Bagging international acclaim, #AparnaSen’s #TheRapist has won the top award at the 26th #BusanInternationalFilmFestival. Co-produced by #ApplauseEntertainment and Quest Films, the movie features standout performances by #KonkanaSenSharma, #ArjunRampal and #TanmayDhanania.

The hard-hitting movie premiered at the renowned film festival under the section of ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ on 7th October. The gripping Indian social drama is about a middle-class academic who wants her rapist, to whom she has fallen pregnant, to tell her why he committed such a crime. Recognised as a critically acclaimed production house, Applause Entertainment also produced the widely appreciated web series Scam 1992.
