Actor Ashok Beniwal, who was last seen with superstar Rajnikanth in the film Darbar, visited the Taj Mahal, recently. The actor was on a tour of Agra with his daughter Nandani. Sharing his memories of the previous visits to Agra, the Zila Ghaziabad actor says, “My first visit to Taj Mahal was in the year 1983 and now, after three decades I visited this magnificent monument again. The awe-inspiring feeling remains the same. Every time I think of the Taj Mahal, I want to understand the emotions of Shah Jahan. The monument shows the love he had for his wife Mumtaz. The architecture is simply amazing and the inside of the tomb is even more beautiful.”
The iconic monument was closed during the lockdown and it was recently opened for tourists again. The actor was highly impressed to see the officials at the Taj Mahal making the visitors follow all the SOPs. “The officials at the Taj Mahal are following all the protocols of Covid-19. Be it online entry fee payment or temperature checking or sanitization, the officials are making visitors follow each safety protocol. It was good to see that tourists have started coming to make these monuments vibrant again,” says, Ashok, adding, “I was really bored of staying at home. My relatives stay in Agra and that’s why after the lockdown I decided to shift my daughter Nandani from Jaipur to Agra for studies. I went to Agra to settle her down and also see the Taj Mahal,” says Beniwal, who has also worked in an international project, recently.
After spending a few days in Agra, the Hate Story 2 actor went to his hometown Jaipur and then headed to Mumbai. Ashok says, “After lockdown things have once again rolled back. Malls have opened, theatres are opening, people have started going to their work and now life has gradually started becoming normal.”
