‘BALH2’ actor Reena Aggarwal finds playing negative roles very interesting!

Recently, #SonyEntertainmentTelevision’s most loved show, #BadeAchheLagteHain2 hit a century as it aired its 100th episode. This is because the show has continued to keep the audience’s excitement at par and their interest hooked with an engaging storyline. But like every good story, the heart-warming tale of Ram (Nakuul Mehta) and Priya( Disha Parmar) also has its own twists, turns, drama and villains!

Actor Reena Aggarwal who essays the pivotal role of Ram’s ex flame, Vedika in the show feels that playing negative characters can be extremely demanding for an actor as getting into the character’s psyche is crucial. Not to forget, while many actors don’t like playing the baddie, television actress Reena Aggarwal finds playing negative roles very interesting.

Talking about if she enjoys playing negative characters, Reena Aggarwal shares, “I really enjoy portraying Vedika’s character. She is a negative character and it gets tricky at times. To be honest I’m happy to be playing this character and yes it’s interesting but…. I’m also anxious as this is my first ever negative role and it comes with a lot of challenges! But I really don’t wanna be seen as a negative face.. if I put it clearly I really don’t want people to forget about my capacity to play variety of roles as an actor! I know my bandwidth and I would still love to keep experimenting with all kinds of role s and not just a vamp on tv! I hate it when people can’t see beyond the ordinary! While, some actors might get bothered from the dislike that ardent fans throw at us but I honestly feel that if we are able to evoke these emotions from our viewers, it means we are doing something right. Having said that, I also believe that the audience today has really evolved, they can differentiate between reel and real, so it’s a great time to play an antagonist on Indian Television today. Going forward however, I would want to pursue a variety of characters as I believe, as an actor and performer, I have a range of emotions that I can put to use – be it a positive role or a negative one.”

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, airs, every Monday to Friday at 8:00PM on Sony Entertainment Television.
