Banveen Singh aka Sukhi from ‘Fighter’ cherishes Anil Kapoor’s advice!
“I felt overwhelmed when Anil Sir praised my performance in #Fighter. His advice stayed with me when he told me you come across whether big or small”, says #BanveenSingh aka #Sukhi from ‘Fighter’.
Siddharth Anand’s aerial action extravaganza, ‘Fighter,’ is becoming the talk of the town. While Banveen Singh aka Sukhi has been taking in the success of his stint and movie, he also opened up about working with the evergreen actor Anil Kapoor who played Commander Rakesh Jaisingh aka Captain Rocky.
Sharing his experience working with Anil Kapoor, Banveen Singh says Anil Kapoor had an infectious energy, he embodies a youthful spirit, infusing vibrant energy on set whether filming “Animal” or “Fighter.” Our connection deepened through our Punjabi heritage, evident in his affectionate address to me as Sukhi paaji. During our pivotal scene together in “Fighter,” where he cared for Sukhi post-attack, he guided me, emphasizing thorough preparation and scene understanding. His relentless curiosity and commitment to craft, evident in his meticulous approach and readiness to learn, left a lasting impression. Anil sir’s humility struck me during the Fighter screening he had come to me & told me that we did two big movies together. When I shared with him on how I assumed he wouldn’t remember me given the fact that my role was very small in Animal, he emphasized the importance of every role, regardless of its screen time, reminding me to cherish every opportunity. His words resonated, underscoring the significance of one’s work and the value of continuous growth. Anil Kapoor sir’s influence extends beyond acting, serving as a beacon of dedication and inspiration for aspiring artists like myself.”
After wooing the audiences with his character as Sukhi, Banveen Singh has interesting projects in the pipeline. Apart from Fighter, Banveen was last seen in Animal and the OTT web series Scoop produced by Hansal Mehta that starred Karishma Tanna and Harman Baweja in interesting characters.
