Being an actor was a dream she nurtured since Harshali Zine was a little girl!

The last two years were challenging but the entertainment industry has bounced back and how, says #HarshaliZine. The actor feels ” the entertainment industry is robust.” “It’s not easy to carry on with the shoots in the middle of a pandemic with so many crew members in attendance. But the industry handled it very well. Kudos to it. Everything has its positives and negatives. Pros of being part of the industry are very obvious, you get name fame and a lot of money. Cons are as a public figure, every action of yours is monitored, judged and brutally criticised,” says the actor known for TV shows, CID, Diya Aur Baati Hum, web series, BOSS: Baap of Special Services, and Marathi film, Paach Naar Ek Bezaar, among others.

Being an actor was a dream she nurtured since Harshali was a little girl. “To be able to live it without having absolutely no connection with the industry is surreal because everybody is taught how to become a doctor, engineer, banker, chartered accountant etc but nobody is taught how to pursue a career in acting. Also, the desire to pursue a career in acting is not taken very gracefully by family members. From learning how to become an actor to finally living as an actor and still surviving in the industry is a magical journey,” she adds. Discussing the projects that made a difference in her career, the actor remembers how her journey in showbiz started in August 2008. And, she was soon offered Marathi films.

“My first film, CHINGI, was released in less than six months from the date I started. That itself made a huge difference in my life. My second film Paach Naar Ek Bezaar was life changing for me as it was received very well. I kept signing films after that along with working in the Hindi TV industry. Tvcs, cameos in Hindi films, South Indian films and OTT have also happened,” Harshali sounds happy.

The actor’s career goal is to do sensible and intelligent cinema. “I am proud of all the work that I have done so far but now I want to focus on quality. Choose my projects wisely which are more fulfilling than just blindly accepting everything that’s offered,” she continues, “More than whether I’m satisfied or not with how my career is going, I’m very proud of myself that I’m still here. It wasn’t a cakewalk. It was a learning journey. It shaped me into the person I’m today and I love what this journey has made out of me, and that’s verysatisfying. Life’s not about achieving, conquering, owning. Life is to experience, learn and grow.”

Giving a message to her fans and her parting note to 2021, Harshali says, “One message I have to give to everyone is that stop living in fear. Fear is the fastest way to weaken your immune system. Weak immunity attracts misery. Please know that the universe has got your back. And the note would be to forgive everyone who you think has wronged you. Heal from the past traumas and enter the New Year with love. Let’s triumph with love.”
