Benaf Dadachandji beliebes that working in DZK helped her understand the medical profession better!
#BenafDadachandji is happy being part of #DadhkanZindegiKii. She plays the role of Aditi Saxena in this Invictus T Media works and (Studio Next) production by Nilanjana Purkayasstha and Herumb Khot and says that this is the only medical drama on air on Hindi TV at the moment. “Doctors and the entire medical staff are frontline heroes. In the last two years we’ve seen how they have braved all obstacles and saved so many lives. So yes, to be a part of a medical show is special for me. It also educates the masses on different diseases and their symptoms so it’s educational as well. This might be a work of fiction but it draws heavily from reality. The biggest difference is that there aren’t real patients, doctors or hospitals etc, and the vibe is not depressing and tense as compared to a real hospital, but the team has made sure that every information and presentation is authentic,” she says.
Benaf shares that we never undervalued our doctors, but our respect for them has increased more amid the Covid times.
“I honestly feel that the government needs to have more medical colleges for students and they should ban quota systems. Students, who are deserving, should only have the opportunity to become doctors and save lives,” she adds.
Benaf bonds with Vidyut Xavier (Dr. Abhay Sathe), Raghav Dhir ( Dr. Piroz Murgiwala), Rohit Purohit (Vikrant Saxena), Additi Gupta (Dr. Deepika Sinha), as most of her scenes are with them.
A doctor is under a lot of pressure all the time. Ask if she understands their daily grind better now and the actor answers, “Yes, after working on this show I understand how much pressure doctors take. It’s so difficult for them to have a personal life because they are on call 24×7. They are constantly saving lives, helping and curing ailing patients suffering from different diseases. They are like gods on earth. No wonder they get so many blessings and have so much good karma.”
