‘BGPH’ producer Binaiferr Kohli says, “The situations were extremely difficult and scary to make comedy content in the last two year”!

Producer #BinaiferrKohli, who is known for her comedy show “#BhabijiGharParHain”; says that the last two years have provided a very tough environment for comedy content. As the country battled one Covid wave after another, actors struggled to bring out comedy content to cheer the public, and this was not easy.

“As a lady who holds the team together, I had many challenges on the professional front, especially with the ongoing situation with Covid. We had to make a bio bubble and we had to arrange for people to stay on the set for more than a year. At times, the situations were extremely difficult and scary, and for people to perform comedy in that was tough! Hats off to my actors, direction team, my spot boys, my light man, my makeup man and everyone for pulling this in such a difficult situation,” she says.

The producer adds that while it might not be very challenging to make other content on TV, making people laugh is no easy feat!

“Daily soaps strive for strategy. It’s quite easy to associate with TV shows because tragedy is what happens to us every day, in fact, it is all around us. It’s quite easy to play on people’s emotions. However, making the audience laugh is very difficult. It is very tough to come up with new creative content, especially in this genre but I have a great creative team and they do a great job,” she says.

She adds, “In comedy, it is not easy to pull off a particular sequence for a long time, it’s like one episode of comedy is the same work as five episodes of a regular soap. It is not easy at all.”
