“I do follow Bigg Boss, but not regularly. I felt Nimrit [Ahluwalia] was a very strong contestant as she had clarity and confidence. During my media days, I had interviewed her a few times. She is well spoken and balanced but going to Bigg Boss can definitely take a toll on people’s minds as you have to deal with a lot of strangers in a house away from the world,” says the actor, who will be seen next in Dashmi, directed by Shantanu Tambe.
Abdu Rozik was one of the biggest highlights of Bigg Boss this season. “He is very sweet and tries to say cute things in English. He was unique because of his look, language, attitude and persona. I really liked watching him in Bigg Boss,” she adds.
Reality shows are loved by the audience. “If you see Bigg Boss it seems funny sometimes because there are so many little things that happen and people create an issue about it. You can’t see such things in other shows. These are personal things that say a lot about someone’s nature, hygiene, perspective, outlook and thought process. The reason people like Bigg Boss as people get to see the real side and shades of the contestants,” she explains.
On whether she would do Bigg Boss if given a chance and Charrul says, “I did get a chance but I had a contract with a news channel so I couldn’t go. I was through but the dates didn’t match. So, yes, I would love to go in if the opportunity comes as I would love to explore that side of my own self.”
