Missamma (2003): Missamma saw her in the titular role of Missamma. Missamma literally means boss lady and the actress wooed the audience with her performance in the movie. It won her the Nandi Award for Best Actress.
Tere Naam (2003): This was her debut Bollywood movie opposite Salman Khan. She played the role of Nirjara, a quiet and shy girl, who over time falls in love with a rowdy, but ultimately takes her life in his memory after he is sent to a mental institution. She bagged the Best Debut award at the Zee Cine Awards for her performance in the movie. Her performance even won her a nomination in the Best Actress category at the Filmfare Awards, even though it was her debut in the Hindi film industry.
Anasuya (2007): Anasuya saw her play the titular role. She essayed the role of a journalist who became a household name after her very first assignment but soon had to leave her job due to some false accusations. Her passion for her work makes her unravel a murder mystery. She won the Santosham Film Awards for Best Actress for her performance in the film.
Middle Class Abbayi (2017): The movie saw her essay the role of Jyothi. She is Nani’s sister-in-law whom he hates to the core but eventually realises the sacrifices she has made for her family and starts respecting her more than ever. He in fact becomes her saviour. Even she helps Nani get married to the love of his life. The movie was a wholesome masala drama and was loved by the masses. Bhumika won the SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress (Telugu) and Zee Apsara Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film.
