#ChahatPandey says, “#DangalTV’s ‘#NathZevarYaZanzzeer’ will trigger social awareness about ‘Nath Utrayi’ custom”!
India is diversifying in many respects. Apart from religions, castes and tribes it has innumerable customs which are still followed even after hundreds of years. Some of them are part of festivals and others are area specific. ‘#NathUtrayi’ is a custom followed in remote places in India in which rich, monied people exchange money for an young girl. In many cases people laden with poverty borrow money from wealthy in the area and because of the compound interest they are never able to repay it. In exchange they barter young girls from the family. In a way it’s like buying a bride. Dangal TV is coming up with a serial named ‘Nath : Zevar Ya Zanzzeer’ which will tackle this social issue effectively.
‘Nath : Zevar Ya Zanzzeer’ has a strong cast and promises to offer all round entertainment. Chahat Pandey is playing the protagonist who falls prey to ‘Nath Utarayi’ custom. But she decides to bring social reform in the community wherein her family too supports her. Arjit Taneja is romantically linked with Chahat in the serial and actors Ravi Gossain, Pratima Kannan, Pyumori Ghosh, Anjana Singh, Anurag Sharma, Vaibhavi Kapoor, Aakanksha, Shraddha Singh, Achal and Ankur Dwivedi play important parts.
‘Nath : Zevar Ya Zanzzeer’ actor Chahat Pandey hails from Indore, Madhya Pradesh who reached Mumbai in 2016 to make it in the entertainment world. She did acting workshops back home and after series of auditions in Mumbai Chahat bagged Balaji Telefilms’ serial ‘Pavitra Bandhan’. Then there was no looking back for this beautiful actress. Chahat went on to do shows like, Tenali Rama, Aladdin, Hamari Bahu Silk, Mere Sai etc and now she’s playing the lead in ‘Nath : Zevar Ya Zanzzeer’.
Chahat Pandey who plays the titular role of Mahua said, “It’s a very good story and I get to play a strong character in ‘Nath’. Actually it was my mummy’s dream that I become an actress. I started working at the age of 18 and I am happy that the work kept pouring in. The concept of this show is novel and to play a protagonist in an issue based show gives you satisfaction. I feel that ‘Nath’ will trigger social awareness about the ‘Nath Utrayi’ custom. The entire cast is extremely talented and it’s gratifying to learn from the senior actors.”
‘Nath : Zevar Ya Zanzzeer’ will go on air on 23rd August 2021 on Dangal TV.
