‘Chandramukhi’, first marathi movie to go on the floor post-lockdown

Akshay Bardapurkar of ‘Planet Marathi’ and Piyush Singh of ‘Golden Ratio Films’ screened the film ‘AB and CD’ starring Amitabh Bachchan on the OTT platform to entertain the audience in the wake of the lockdown in Maharashtra. He decided to start shooting for his upcoming Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi’.  Akshay Bardapurkar is producing the film with Piyush Singh for the third time in a row. The film, based on the famous author Vishwas Patil’s novel ‘Chandramukhi’, will hit the floors this November. This will be the first Marathi banner to start shoot of a new film in the wake of this global epidemic, post-lockdown.
Speaking about the start of shooting, director Prasad Oak said, “As a director, my next film ‘Chandramukhi’ is going to go on the floor next November, and the shooting will be carried out with all due care. It’s a pleasure, but also a responsibility. You saw the poster of ‘Chandramukhi’ in January, everybody loved it so much. Now you want to know exactly which actress will be seen is in the role of “Chandramukhi” and who are the other actors too. I also want to answer all these questions and bring my new artwork in front of you as soon as possible. As usual, your blessings and good wishes are with me. Shooting will start soo, Ganapati Bappa  Moraya … !!! “
After doing many big projects in Hindi, Tamil and international film industry, Golden Ratio Films started production in Marathi with ‘AB and CD’. After the production of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, Piyush Singh, COO of Golden Ratio Films, is ready to continue producing Marathi films. ‘Chandramukhi’ is his passion project. Commenting on this, he said, “The current audience is much softer and more sensitive to the subject of the film than before. We have got a great team to take this film to a new height. While we can’t talk much about the cast and the plot at the moment, we’re sure the audience will love the film.”
For Akshay Bardapurkar, this is not just a film, it is a larger than life project, and commenting on it, he said, “Chandramukhi is a great example of a film that gives the audience a beautiful experience with an invigorating story. The story of this film revolves around a woman who discovers her own personality in an unconventional way in the society. We are excited to tell the story of the film, but at the same time we have a big responsibility to maintain the authenticity of the bestseller of Vishwas Patil. This film certainly will take Marathi cinema to new heights.”

Produced by Planet Marathi and Golden Ratio Films, the film will be directed by Prasad Oak, scripted by Chinmay Mandlekar, cinematography by Sanjay Memane, art direction is by Nilesh Wagh. After a long gap Ajay Atul will be scoring music for a marathi film.
