‘Chhello Show’ bags two National Film Awards!

This Indian Gujarati-language coming-of-age drama film, helmed by Pan Nalin, has won the prestigious National Film Award for Best Gujarati Film, and Bhavin Rabari has won the Best Child Artist award in the Feature Films Category at the 69th National Film Awards.
From its premiere at the 20th Tribeca Film Festival to its selection as India’s contender for the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards, “Chhello Show” (Last Film Show) has not only struck a chord with worldwide viewers but has also garnered the highest recognition in its homeland.
The film’s narrative, set against the backdrop of rural Gujarat and revolving around the captivating realm of celluloid film projection, has touched hearts and graced screens worldwide ever since its release.
The young and promising Bhavin Rabari, who made his debut in the heartwarming film “Last Film Show” (Chhello Show) as ‘Samay,’ has garnered immense adoration and applause since the film’s release. Bhavin’s raw talent was discovered by the director, Pan Nalin, in collaboration with his friend and casting director of the film, Dilip Shankar. As a result of his exceptional performance, Bhavin has been bestowed with the esteemed National Film Award for Best Child Artist.

The film achieved global distribution through Sam Goldwyn Films in the USA, while in India, Roy Kapur Films partnered with PVR Cinemas for its nationwide release on October 14, 2022.
Internationally, “Last Film Show” (Chhello Show) continues to reach new heights. It is currently set to grace 250 screens across 52 cities in Italy this week. The film recently marked a triumphant Silver Jubilee run in Japan and is still enthralling audiences in its 32nd week there.
