Coolie No 1 team celebrates wrap-up with a party

Actor Govinda and director David Dhawan gave some of the biggest hits together. Their ‘No 1’ series films were talk of Bollywood as they went on to make stupendous business at box office. It all started with Coolie No 1, as there were issues with the title Coolie as the same-name film starring Amitabh bachchan had released a few years earlier, and there were spate of other ‘No 1’ films. In fact ‘No 1’ became synonymous with Govinda, those days. The same Coolie No 1 with the same producer (Vashu Bhagnani) and director (David Dhawan) is being remade with the same name Coolie No 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali khan in the lead. Earlier father-son duo of Dhawans gave us Judwaa 2, which was a remake of David Dhawan-Salman Khan combination’s 1997 film Judwaa. Recently Coolie No 1’s shoot was wrapped up.

The Coolie No. 1 team celebrated the wrap up of their film with a party in Mumbai at Bhagnani’s house. Hosted by producer Vashu Bhagnani and director David Dhawan, the wrap party saw the cast and crew celebrating the much-anticipated film. Along with actors Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan and producers Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, also present at the party were Akshay Kumar, Karisma Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Rohit Dhawan, Dinesh Vijan and many other others. Producer Vashu Bhagnani expressed ‘Some bonds always remain special !! 25 years of this friendship both personally and Professionally and it all started with #CoolieNo1 #25years #DavidDhawan’.

With just 2 months to hit theatres, the posters and pictures from the sets have already piqued the interest of the fans. The film is slated to release on 1st May 2020.
