Covid 19 hotspot resident artists quit the show, ‘Prem Poison Panga’

After the state government announced the resumption of film and television shoots, there have been relevant precautionary measures set in place. This has led to several discussions, some of which state that many actors are quitting shows due to the surge in the positive cases. While there may be many reasons for this outcome, two actors from Zee Yuva’s comedy show Prem Poison Panga have decided to quit the show for the better of the entire team. Iravati Lagu who portrays Malti, role of the male lead’s mother and Swapnil Rajshekhar who plays Kailas Bhole, father of role of female lead have called it quits.

The actor’s residents fall in zones which are COVID-19 hotspots. Keeping the safety of their families and the entire unit in mind, they along with the channel have mutually taken this decision. This would have surely been a tough call to take, as it will impact everyone associated with the show. The channel immensely proud to be associated with actors who think of the wellbeing of the entire unit. However, as they say, ‘The show must go on’, these characters will now be played by Rasika Dhamankar and Shekhar Phadke respectively and will be seen in the new episodes that are getting aired since 13th July, ‘20.
