Dancing superstar Govinda is all praise for choreographer Ganesh Acharya

When it comes to dancing there’ll many names which’ll come to one’s mind. But when street-smart dancing is concerned only two names will flash automatically. Actor and dancer Govinda and choreographer Ganesh acharya. Both, together, have given numerous chart bursting dance numbers on which commoners can gyrate easily. Though their numbers were street smart, they never ridiculed any dance form. Actor-dancer superstar Govinda praised superstar’s choreographer Ganesh Acharya on Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs‘ weekend episode. It’s a comedy special and both, Govinda and Ganesh, are masters in infusing comedy in their dance moves.

Right after contestants Saksham and Saie gave a fabulous duet performance to the song Kisi Disco mein Jaye, a lovely message dedicated by Govinda’s all-time favourite choreographer Ganesh Acharya was played for him. Talking about how Govinda is not just a Hero No. 1 of the industry but a Human No. 1 too, Govinda couldn’t help but appreciate the sweet message with a memorable anecdote. Praising the choreographer, Govinda said, “Right from the beginning, one could see that Ganesh had an extraordinary talent with dance. I used to tell this to Ganesh too and was very sure that his art would make him very successful one day. I remember, once a shoot was stalled because we couldn’t reach out to the master ji and at that moment, I reached out to Ganesh through his neighbour so that he could come, choreograph and resume the halted shoot. Initially everyone was skeptical because no one knew him and now he is one of the top choreographers and every song that I have done with him has been a superhit.”

He further added, “I believe that dance is more like talking without having to actually speak or use words and this style of talking without speaking in dance, I learnt from Kamal master Ji. Ganesh was Kamal’s assistant when I was doing a movie with him. Students back answering was never a culture in my time and Ganesh was one such kind of a student, no matter how much scolding and criticism he used to get from Kamal Ji, he would cry but not say a word  back to his teacher.”
