Deepa Bhatia named one of BAFTA’s Exceptional Breakthrough Talent!

Indian filmmaker Deepa Bhatia is being named one of #BAFTA’s Exceptional Breakthrough Talent this year. This prestigious recognition highlights her remarkable contribution to the world of filmmaking.

Bhatia’s groundbreaking documentary series, First Act, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, has captivated audiences worldwide. The series delves into the intense pressures faced by young actors in India’s film industry, offering a poignant and insightful look at their lives.

Before turning her lens to directing, Bhatia established herself as a skilled editor, working on acclaimed films like Kai Po Che!, My Name Is Khan and the documentary Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
