Dinosaurs, pirates and magical stories with CBeebies this October
Return to the time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth with Andy’s Dino Toybox. The toybox is a space where these mysterious creatures come to life again in front of our very own eyes, with hidden facts, storytelling and hilarious little skits. Kids will learn about an abundance of dinosaur species and the scientific characteristics that make them so unique, and then be inspired to tell stories of their own.
An extra order of Swashbuckle pirate adventures hits screens for the 2nd month in a row, as Seasons 2 and 4 bring kids back onboard the Scarlet Squid pirate ship for an all-new round of team challenges to win back prized jewels. As ever, children pick up the importance of teamwork, friendly competition and graciousness, all while battling against the pirate captain Sinker and her hapless assistants!

Programme highlights of October 2020:
Swashbuckle Series 2: This engaging pirate game show features four young Swashbucklers, competing in a series of physical games against the “naughty pirates” led by Captain Sinker and her hapless shipmates Cook and Line, under the watchful eye of Gem and her parrot Squawk. On board the ‘Scarlet Squid’ they work as a team to overcome challenges and to win back stolen jewels. After two games, any remaining jewels are hunted against the clock as the children try to find them hidden within the shipwreck. If the children successfully retrieve all of the jewels then a wheel is spun to determine which of the three pirates must walk the plank into the gunge-filled Ship’s Mess – much to the enjoyment of the Swashbucklers!
