In celebration of Navratri, Ekta Jain meticulously planned her wardrobe and makeup to represent the different forms of Maa Durga, each symbolizing unique virtues and divine qualities. Maa Shailputri – Worshiped on the first day, she is the daughter of the Himalayas and represents the grounded, nurturing aspect of the Goddess.
Maa Brahmacharini – The goddess of penance and devotion, she performed intense penance to win Lord Shiva as her husband.
Maa Chandraghanta – Adorned with a crescent moon on her forehead, this form represents bravery and strength, combining the powers of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.
Maa Kushmanda – Her energy lit up the universe during the times of darkness, representing creation and abundance.
Maa Skandamata – The mother of Kartikeya (Skanda), she is the epitome of motherhood and protection.
Maa Katyayani – A fierce form of the goddess, she is a warrior and protector, symbolizing the duty-bound aspect of womanhood.
Maa Kaalratri – Terrifying to demons, this form destroys evil and protects her devotees from harm.
Maa Mahagauri – The universal mother and protector, Mahagauri is pure, radiant, and merciful.
Maa Siddhidatri – The goddess of spiritual powers and accomplishments, she grants wisdom and success to her followers.
