Filmmaker Ramesh ‘Sholay’ Sippy to be felicitated with ‘Asian Culture Award’!

In this year’s 20th #ThirdEyeAsianFilmFestival, which brings a feast of international films, veteran Hindi director #RameshSippy will be honoured with the ‘#AsianCulture’ award. He will be given this special honour for his invaluable contribution in the field of cinema and this award is given to Master Director in Asia.

Also writer Prakash Magadum will be given the special film writing award this year in memory of Late Sudhir Nandgaonkar. He will receive this award for his book ‘The Mahatma on Celluloid’. Film society movement activist Subhash Desai will be honoured with ‘Satyajit Ray’award for his remarkable work in the field of film society movement.

Veteran director Ramesh Sippy, who directed very popular films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Shaan’, ‘Sita Aur Geeta’ ‘Sagar’, has given many great films to his fans. The films directed by him have created history and have been an invaluable contribution to Indian cinema.
