&flix and &PrivéHD bring patriotic films this Republic Day!
With the nation gearing up to welcome the #73rdRepublicDay with patriotic fervor, we respect and admire those few who have risen above the odds. No task is more monumental than making sure everyone feels safe at night. These heroes have risen above odds and from protecting sandy shores to shielding skies, defending against attacks, and securing our borders, they have secured all. Let’s salute our real-life heroes and watch blockbusters that inspire our nation this Wednesday, 26th January 2022 with special binges on &flix and &PrivéHD.
The line-up of movies includes some of the most loved war films from across the globe. Both the channels will telecast Fury, Sicario, Lone Survivor, and Double Team. Brad Pitt starrer Fury is the story of a grizzled tank commander who makes tough decisions as he and his crew fight their way across Germany in April 1945. Watch Emily Blunt as Kate Macer, an idealistic FBI agent enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico in the film Sicario. Witness the journey of an army on their mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shah, in late June 2005 in the film Lone Survivor starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, and Ben Foster. In this film, after running into mountain herders and capturing them, Marcus and his team were left with no choice but to follow their rules of engagement or be imprisoned. Now they are left to fight for their lives in one of the most valiant efforts of modern warfare. Double team is the story of an international spy who teams up with an arms dealer to escape from a penal colony and rescue his family from a terrorist. The film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dennis Rodman in pivotal roles.
In addition to the above line-up &flix will exclusively broadcast White House Down– the story of a valiant police officer who springs into action during an attack on the White House to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders. &PrivéHD will show Zero Dark Thirty – a chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy SEAL Team 6 in May 2011.
