Elnaaz Norouzi

For Supporting Iranian Women’s Fight for Freedom, Elnaaz Norouzi Bestowed with Swami Agnivesh Change Maker Award!

Actress and activist Elnaaz Norouzi was honored with the #SwamiAgnivesh Global Change Maker Award today for her relentless efforts in highlighting the struggles of Iranian women during the 2022 uprising. The award was presented by the iconic Sushmita Sen, adding a special touch to the event.
During the uprising, Elnaaz used her platform to bring attention to the courageous fight of Iranian women against decades of systemic oppression. Unable to join the protests physically, she amplified their voices through social media, public appearances, and collaborations with global activists, ensuring their fight for freedom reached a worldwide audience.
In her acceptance speech, Elnaaz said, “True power lies not in staying silent, but in using our voice even when it trembles to challenge oppression and demand justice. Women around the world face countless battles every day, and many are fought in silence. It is for those unheard voices that I choose to speak up.”
The ceremony was made even more memorable by the presence of Sushmita Sen, whom Elnaaz described as “a symbol of strength and inspiration.” Reflecting on the honor, she added, “Receiving this award is an honor, but having it presented by Sushmita Sen makes this moment unforgettable.”
Despite facing death threats, Elnaaz stood firm in her mission to highlight the resilience and bravery of Iranian women and men. Her efforts also encouraged Indian media to shed light on the uprising, amplifying voices that were being silenced within Iran.
Elnaaz concluded with an inspiring message: “To all the dreamers and change-makers, your voice matters, and when used with courage and compassion, it has the power to change the world.”
Elnaaz’s determination and commitment serve as a testament to the impact one voice can have, cementing her place as a true global change maker.
