Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh also help, Marathi Film body, ABMCM

With all the shootings closed during this lockdown, the livelihood of many has come Under cloud.  Workers who work part-time in the entertainment sector are suffering.  Many organizations are extending a helping hand and some artists are also helping them in their own way.  However, realizing the lack of help in the field of Marathi entertainment, the Marathi Film body, ABMCM (Akhil Bharatiy Marathi Cjitrapat Mahamandal) has stepped in to help the needy within the marathi film industry.

Due to the global lockdown caused by the Corona pandemic, the daily wage workers from the Cine industry are facing starvation which include ordinary wage workers, technicians and junior artists. At the same time, Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal started helping all of them in the form of rations and cash too. So far, the assistance has been extended to 2000 members through the Chairman, office bearers, directors and village committee members.

However, considering the huge number of members of the corporation, the needy members were asked to register and so far more than 5000 members have registered. Meghraj Rajebhosle – President, office bearers and directors had appealed to the philanthropists and Bollywood stars to help all these daily wage workers who has lost livelihood as no shoots are happening due to national lockdown. Responding positively to the call of the All India Marathi Film Corporation, actresses Genelia Riteish Deshmukh and Riteish Vilasrao Deshmukh came forward and paid Rs. 10,00,000 / – (Rs. 10 lakhs). He has also appealed to other artists to help the Film Corporation.

On behalf of ABM Film Corporation, President Meghraj Rajebhosle has thanked Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh and all those who have helped so far.
