‘Gulf Cine Fest 2021’ deferred
While the entertainment platforms are changing in the Corona era, the preparations for the premiere of the Marathi films’ ‘Gulf Cine Fest 2021’, which is taking place in Dubai with a new urgency, are in full swing. The festival is organized to bring joy to the film lovers in the Gulf countries as well as to equip the Marathi film industry with new energy and confidence. Earlier, 5G International, the organiser of the event, had recently organised a small function to welcome the new year. Producers, directors, technicians of Marathi films as well as journalists from various channels, representatives of various companies working in the world of Marathi entertainment were also present on the occasion.
Senior producer-director Mahesh Kothare lauded the efforts of Sachin Kataranavare, the organiser of the Marathi films’ ‘Global Connect’, and lauded his courage. In the ‘Gulf Cine Fest 2021’ organised on behalf of ‘5G International’, select premiere shows of some well-known upcoming Marathi films will be held. Apart from this, trailers, promos and songs of some Marathi films will also be the center of attraction for cinema lovers. The dignitaries expressed their hope that this festival, which will be held across the seas in the new year 2021, will be extremely exciting for Marathi films.
Due to international travel regulations regarding Corona pandemic, it is not possible to hold the event from January 20 to 23 in Dubai. The dignitaries gathered for the New Year’s reception and supported the unique idea of the organiser Sachin Kataranavare. The ceremony was hosted by actress Sameera Gujar.
