‘Gupta Brothers…’ cast to celebrate Diwali, find out from the actors, how?
In a very short span of time, Mahesh & Madhu Pandey’s Gupta Brothers – Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinaare has found its way into the audience’s heart. The main USP of the show is the onscreen brotherhood that we haven’t seen on Indian television for a long time. The cast has spoken to us about their Diwali plans and their experience working with the production house :
Parineeta Borthakur aka Ganga : We will be having a Diwali get together at home since my parents are also in Mumbai. My sister will also join us. It will be a cozy meet up with our family and some delicious food during the festive season. One of my favourite things of the Gupta Brothers is that the audience can relate to the relationships shown on screen. That is the beauty of the show. This is my first time working with Mahesh Pandey and I really love how much they take care of us on set. They have taken utmost precaution while shooting because of the pandemic and it is really commendable. Apart from that, Mahesh Sir is a wonderful human being and an excellent storyteller.
Sonal Vengurlekar aka Jaya : In diwali, we will be celebrating because my family and I recently purchased a new house, and it’s the first house I bought in Mumbai. I am looking forward to having my first Diwali puja at my house since I think this is very auspicious. I plan to light up the entire house with fairy lights and diyas. After the puja, we will end the day with enjoying the delicious delicacies my mom will prepare. I have always been against firecrackers, so we might do a Diwali feast on the set of Gupta Brothers. I absolutely love my character Jaya in the show and the way the story has been weaved is very engaging. This is not my first time working with Mahesh Pandey and our collaboration has always been fruitful. The viewers also love the show so that’s a bonus for me.
Satya Tiwari aka Veer : This year I have been more focused on my work,I have had a very tight schedule. Due to the pandemic, I have not been going out anywhere since this is a safety measure we should all be taking. The best part of our show is the four brothers and their bonding. The character growth of the brothers in the show is very interesting and as an actor I love portraying Veer. Working with Mahesh Pandey is a genuine pleasure and I hope this association will continue. Mahesh Sir always makes sure to develop a good relationship with his actors, and I think that is a very warm gesture.
Akash Mukherjee aka Alok : Keeping the pandemic in mind, I have not been doing much. I am not travelling to Kolkata since I am shooting for Gupta Brothers. I request everyone to be safe, let this year pass by and we welcome the next year without any fear. The best thing about our show is the brotherhood; on and offscreen we share a wonderful bond. It is a fulfilling ride with drama and emotions. A new story will unfold soon and I hope that the audience will like this new route. This is my second show with Mahesh Pandey, my first one was Vidya. As an actor this is a wonderful opportunity and I am very thankful to Mahesh Sir.
