Hansa Singh says, ‘The pace of working is very fast in all the industries, including entertainment which probably causes mental fatigue’!
Recently released Human actress #HansaSingh says that the entertainment industry has evolved, and mobile phone is the new entertainment box. The entertainment industry is going through a revolutionary phase with the onset of #OTT platforms and #YouTube channels. Commenting on the digitalisation of the industry, she said, “It’s evolution rather than revolution. There is always something that shakes from your slumber. A lot of complacencies had set in in the system. The viewers and markers didn’t wish to change, so now thanks to the pandemic, there is a certain shift. It was much needed.”
“Digitalisation is something that I have been seeing since 2015. When my film Hunterrr got released, it was only India release. But thanks to the digital world, people watched it across the globe and I saw a new emerging medium then. Mobile phones are the new entertainment box,” she added.
Multiple mediums are co-existing. The audience has too many options and viewership is scattered. “There is scope for all to find their space. Having said that, real convergence is happening now. We are open to the world with a tap of a button. So to survive is a question. The best only can. There is stuff on the internet/ web for all, from sex to household,” she said.
The pace of working is very fast in all the industries, including entertainment, and that is somewhere causing unsaid mental fatigue. “What’s mental fatigue? Well, I don’t have one. The best is not to be in the rat race. Just do your best and leave the rest. Have some creative hobbies. That’s one sure shot medicine that will keep you sane,” she suggested.
She didn’t face any such fatigue. “I turned everything to opportunity. I am not a crying baby. I look for solutions. It’s good to know the problem. Then start looking for solutions. Knowing problems and pondering won’t help. I am happy and a creative person,” she said.
Amid the COVID scenario, there is no me time or personal time left. Everyone’s professional life is more time-consuming than before. “Well it’s not so with me. I guess I’m blessed or lucky or just have a fresh viewpoint to life. During COVID everything became online. Self-tests – no more stepping out for auditions. Now I am in the zone to get the best self-test without stepping out,” she said.
At home, she loves to cook. “It’s therapeutic and healthy eating. I love dancing and have few friends to say. Keeping in touch with them is best. Thanks to the internet- the world is right there, but yes I miss the personal touch at times. But now the shoots have begun, so with the new normal, all is getting back. It’s a good life,” she shared.
