Harshali Zine observes, ‘Since the past few years, Mumbai’s temperature has had a dramatic drop during winters’!
#HarshaliZine enjoys the winter season the most. According to the actor, the vibe that this season gives is peaceful, healing and relaxing. “The days are shorter during winters, I feel that’s nature’s way of telling us to slow down, rest and relax. Mostly everybody you meet exudes warmth. There’s always warm drinks and warm food served. How we yearn for sunlight during winters and whatever little time the sunlight is there we make the most of it. Families hold a gathering, have a picnic, sip warm drinks, eat winter delicacies, share their life experiences and stories while sunbathing .. there’s more of happiness, joy, togetherness during winters. It’s not a season but a celebration,” says the actor is known for TV shows, CID, Diya Aur Baati Hum, web series, BOSS: Baap of Special Services, and Marathi film, Paach Naar Ek Bezaar, among others.
Winter is here, but Mumbai unfortunately gets little or no winter at all. “Due to geo-engineering and weather manipulation by spraying chemtrails, everywhere we are witnessing fluctuations in weather conditions including Mumbai. Since the past few years, Mumbai’s temperature has had a dramatic drop during winters. The uncertain heavy rainfall during winters is not natural leading to so much loss to the farmers , resulting in food shortage and adverse health conditions. It’s time humans stop disturbing the equilibrium of the planet or nature has a unique way of bringing balance which humans may or may not be able to survive,” she adds.
In her power and awareness, Harshali tries to live as consciously as she can to protect herself and her wellbeing in all the seasons. She walks barefoot often, takes sunlight for 30 minutes, and drinks enough water. “We’re electromagnetic beings. We get our charge from the sun and earth. During winters, I moisturize my skin by applying organic oils like hemp seed, almond, argan, and neem. I never apply sunscreen. I was born and raised in Mumbai and I remember during 1st year of my college in Ahmedabad I faced a piercing cold for the first time, which was really challenging to bare. Eventually for further studies and work when I travelled to other cities and countries, I witnessed the intensity of cold weather and realized why people make fun of Mumbai winters. Although it’s short, I love Mumbai winters, it’s quite moderate. The mild shivers that come when the cold wintery breeze touches past you is beyond blissful,” says Harshali, who loved Dharamshala, where she went to shoot a film sometime back.
People in showbiz hardly get any long holidays. “It’s more difficult if you’re doing daily soap… I like to balance work and leisure. I get ample opportunities to travel for my films, web series, print shoots and I love that. Outdoor shoots are like work come holiday,” she shares.
Talking about her favourite short getaway, Harshali says, “I usually take a break of straight 10 days, switch off all the electronic devices and meditate at home. Going inwards to discover myself is my favourite getaway, anyway travel during an ongoing pandemic is painful. However, last year end, I did go to Goa for work and enjoyed my stay there.”
So what does she love to eat during winters? “I’m vegan and all the seasons I eat a wholesome diet, combination of drinks made of adaptogens like ashwagandha, shatavari and shilajit, seasonal veggies and fruits. I eat a lot of dry fruits during winters and seeds like hemp seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds … occasionally I also treat myself with Vegan pizzas and other conventional snacks which are organized like Vegan Oriental Bowl, Vegan Lebanese Platter, or a Vegan stuffed paratha or a Veg Mexican and Thai combos with vegan desserts and ice creams. It’s a myth that vegans eat only leaves,” I take all the vitamins and minerals directly from nature and not from pharmacy she ends.
