Actor #HimanshKohli’s new song #WafaNaRaasAayee is out and the actor is getting some great feedback for his performance. The melodious track has been sung by #JubinNautiyal and composed by #MeetBrothers. The song also features #ArushiNishank.
The song is doing exceptionally well and has clocked 20 million views in a short time. In the song we see a different Himansh with a never seen before look. So we asked him who is this new Himansh? He says,”There’s no new Himansh Kohli. It’s the same person as before. It’s just about being a part of a good project and being cast for an apt role. The only change is that I have grown a little more sincere towards my work.”
People who have seen the song also appreciated Himansh’s facial expressions. Commenting on that Himansh says,”I am very glad that people have liked me and my character in #WafaNaRaasAayee. Shooting for this song was fun. I had already worked with my director, Ashish Panda before – he was the associate Director of Yaariyan, so he understood me quite well. The scenic beauty might give it a look that the entire shoot was a vacation, but trust me that that it was challenging. There are 2 shades of the character, one is set in the past when the character is young and full of energy, and the second is that of a dull and aching heart. So, shifting from one character to other in a very tight schedule, and also dealing with the strong weather conditions of Kashmir was tough.”
So any particular prep work you did for the song? “Little bit of preparation is required for any project. I was given a few tips and films to watch before going on the floor. Majority of the prep work was in understanding the variation between the two characters.”
Speaking about his love for Kashmir, Himansh says,”Kashmir brings me peace. In fact whenever I go there I start humming Kashmiri songs which I have heard over the years. It’s a place you must visit at least once in a lifetime and I can bet that you will never forget its beauty.” Himansh has a great success rate when it comes to music videos, so does he feel the pressure? “No, I don’t work like that. I give my 100% to any given role and I’m satisfied with the project if it turns out to be as good in terms of performance. I don’t pay heed to the numbers, but if they come out to be good I get even more happy. I don’t live under the pressure of achieving bigger numbers, I leave that part to my audience to decide and give me love accordingly.”
