I learnt a new meaning of happiness while working in ‘Sukh Mhanje Kay Ast’, says Girija Prabhu

There are many views as far as the Happiness is concerned. Each person’s idea of happiness is different. For some love is happiness, for some money and for some family’s happiness among other things. Star Pravah has launched a serial ‘Sukh Mhanje Kay Ast’ wherein it tries to find out more about happiness. The lead actress of the serial Girija Prabhu spoke to Cine Buster. Excerpts……

I am portraying a girl named Gauri. She is a very simple and loving girl. Gauri never takes any wrong path.  She thinks that the true meaning of love is sacrifice. The important stages of the life of this naive Gauri will unfold in this serial.

‘Sukh Mhanje Kay Ast’ is a familial serial which takes place in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. For happiness, one should not go far because it’s present in smallest of things of life, is the message this serial throws in a subtle way. How we find our happiness in ordinary life is beautifully presented in the serial.

I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to work with Varshatai. I will always be grateful for this opportunity provided by Star Pravah and Kothare Visions. I get to learn a lot from all my co-stars and our director Chandrakant Kanase. Their guidance is helping me play my character more convincingly. This is my first outing on small screen, so I am really excited and I am enjoying it.

The title song of the serial ‘Sukh Mhanje Kay Ast’ is very melodious and it is to be praised. Shrirang Godbole’s words, Pankaj Padghan’s music and Kartiki Gaikwad’s melodious voice have lent beauty to this song. Many fans have also made videos on this title song. The song is also a favourite for wedding pre-wedding photoshoots. I derive inspiration myself from the title song of ‘Sukh Mhanje Kay Ast’. I hope viewers back the serial as they have backed the song.’
