#IBD2 judge #TerenceLewis was standing throughout contestant #VarunDaggar’s performance!
#SonyEntertainmentTelevision’s dance reality show, #IndiasBestDancer – Season 2 which premiered last Saturday has already found a place in the hearts of the viewers. With unique and versatile talents seen in the audition round, this season promises to double the excitement with exceptional artists coming from across the nation, who will put their best ‘dancing’ foot forward.
One such contestant who made his mark in the audition round is, Varun Daggar. A 22 year old who originally hails from Palwal, Haryana, Varun had to run away from his hometown and move to Delhi to pursue his passion for dance. He has been practicing street dancing, also known as ‘busking’ for over four years now. Varun undeniably touched the hearts of the judges in the audition round itself with his performance on the song ‘Moh Moh ke Dhaage’. Post his performance, Varun got emotional and made a revelation saying that the ‘cap’ he uses as a dancing prop is his most prized possession because that is what he uses to collect money from the spectators while he performed on the streets and made a living out of it.
However, all those years of struggle finally paid off as his act got him a standing ovation from judge Terence Lewis who made it a point to stand throughout his performance and even admitted that he is now a fan! Not only that, judge Geeta Kapur validated his extraordinary skill by saying that is exactly the kind of talent she had been hoping to witness on the show. Furthermore, judge Malaika Arora rewarded Varun’s performance in her signature style – by showering him with a million kisses with her kiss gun.
After receiving such rave reviews, an excited & thoroughly motivated Varun said, “I am grateful that despite all the hardships, I finally am where I am meant to be. I promise to give my 100% because being on such a coveted platform is a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity and I shall never take that for granted. I want to this for my family, friends and even for the ones who doubted me and made me second guess my talent and my dream. Here’s hoping to fulfil my dreams and make a name for myself in the field of dance.”
India’s Best Dancer – Season 2, airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television.
