Indian Idol fame Abhijeet Sawant and Atif Afzal create acoustic version of ‘Ye Na’

Music Composer Atif Afzal had been wanting to make a reprised version of his composed song ‘Ye Na‘ along with Abhijeet Sawant since a long time, as the song is close to his heart and Abhijeet Sawant had justified each note of his composition.

Abhijeet and Atif recently came together to create the acoustic version of song ‘Ye Na‘ to celebrate 5 years of ‘Baji’. ‘Ye Na‘ is special to Atif as it was the first song from the album which he cracked in literally 10 mins. This has never happened with him again till date.

Although Atif Afzal isn’t aware of Marathi language that well, but he had pulled off the entire album of the film ‘Baji‘ beautifully, all of the songs were chartbusters in Marathi Music. Shreyas Talpade, Director Nikhil Mahajan along with the producers were extremely happy with the album.

Abhijeet Sawant says, “It has always been fun working with Atif, I am glad he thought of creating a reprised version of the song, had a great time recreating it. I remember while recording the original track it happened so fast that by the time the Producer and Director could reach the studio we had wrapped.“

Atif Afzal Says, “It is always a great experience to recreate or relive your own songs. Both me and Abhijeet lived with the song for 5 years and we had our own improvisations that we did while performing this song again. The songs I compose become a part of me and I love to celebrate it. ‘Ye Na’ is one of my favorite tracks I have written and so is ‘Jag Saare Badle’ from the film ‘Pune 52’ which was sung by Shalmali Kholgade. I hope to perform it with Shalmali soon!“
