Junior artists have Right To Work, helped by IFTPC
Indian Film & TV Producers Council (IFTPC) in association with Vedant and Yuva Unstoppable today provided the Junior Artistes with 1000 bags containing daily necessities such as rice, daal, oil, chilli powder etc for distribution to the most needy among them. It is pertinent to note that though the shooting in the industry has begun from 23rd June, there is a de facto ban on the employment of Junior Artistes. The government guidelines discourage the mob and crowd scenes such as party or marriage scenes and there is also a ceiling of 33% on crew strength.
Mr. JD Majethia Chairman TV-WEB lamented that in the present tough times they can only sympathise with the junior artistes till the full fledged shootings are allowed but he assured that more efforts will be made by IFTPC to help this section of the industry. An artists present in the distribution process protested that though the Right to Work is their fundamental right, they are deprived of the same. He hoped for the early normalcy.
Mr. Majethia thanked Vedant and Yuva Unstoppable for their generosity.
