‘Kanguva’ shot at multiple locations in India and abroad!
Since the much-sought teaser for “#Kanguva,” a magnum opus, was released by #StudioGreen and #SuriyaSivakumar, it has caused pandemonium everywhere. This outstanding teaser has everything that puts it at the level of a Hollywood production: the expertise, the creative thinking, the originality of the content, the exciting background score, and the execution. Make the country go crazy about it. Everyone is intrigued by the teaser and eager to witness the epic battle between Bobby Deol, who plays the opponent, and Suriya, who portrays a Mighty Warrior. Apart from this, you might not be aware that the movie was shot at several actual locations by the makers.
‘Kanguva’ is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious films coming this year, and to bring a cinematic marvel to audiences, the makers have given everything required to make it a film to be remembered. As it is known, the film presents the story of two eras, historic and present, and keeping this in mind, the makers have filmed it in several real-life locations and across the globe. To keep the uniqueness and theme of the film, the makers have shot it in exotic locations in Goa, Europe, and a major schedule, including war sequences, was shot in Sri Lanka for 60 days. Touted as the film of the budget worth 350 crores, the makers canned some major sequences in the outskirts of Chennai and even in the Pondicherry.
An important sequence featuring Suriya was filmed recently in Kerala and the Kodaikanal forests. Last year, around October, a three-week marathon schedule with the cast and crew was shot in Bangkok, and the makers used the Alexa Super 35 and Alexa LF camera versions for a better output of the action sequences.
The film shows the story of two different eras—the prehistoric and present eras—and covers the story of 1000 years, and the makers have ensured the scale and execution in these two timelines come as a visual delight for the audiences.
Director Siva and Studio Green jointly gave the project a global feel and elevated it to the level of Hollywood. Studio. Talking about the producer, Green K.E. Gnanavel Raja, he holds a prominent stature in the world of Indian cinema for churning out many blockbuster hits in the last 16 years, including films like the Original ‘Singham’ series, ‘Paruthi Veeran’, ‘Siruthai’, ‘Komban’, ‘Naan Mahan Alla’, ‘Madras’, ‘Teddy’, and recently ‘Pathu Thala’. Besides this, they have distributed several blockbuster films, including ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’.
Kanguva promises a raw, rustic, and new visual experience to the audience with human emotions, powerful performances, and never-before-seen action sequences on a massive scale. The film features cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and a musical score by ‘Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad.
Studio Green has signed up with top distribution houses to release the film on a massive scale across the globe. The release of the film is planned for the second half of 2024.
