Kanika Dhillon’s advice to all young girls on Women’s Day!
Talk about the change in women’s representation on screen in Indian cinema, and we have with us #KanikaDhillion. A force behind many progressive storylines with powerful female characters, the writer is a leading name in redefining the narrative. #Manmarziyan, #Guilty, #Kedarnath, #JudgementallHaiKya, #HaseenDillruba, and #RashmiRocket – in all her work, women questioned the stereotype and broke the norm, to live life on their own terms!
Much like her female characters, Kanika Dhillion fought her way into the big world of entertainment. Carving her own path into the industry to earn the badge of a star writer and bagging the top billing in a Netflix trailer, the writer-producer is indeed an inspiration to young girls.
While sharing pearls of wisdom to young girls on women’s day, Kanika Dhillion said, “Don’t let the world dictate you and your dreams. Fight for your passion and go all out to achieve them. Society might demoralise you, discourage you, or even try to question your character, but don’t let that come in between you and your goals.”
“It is heartbreaking to watch that even today, people look down at a girl with ambition, and it needs to change. But it needs to come from within. So, on women’s day, I want to urge all young girls don’t be scared to speak up and fight,” she further added.
Meanwhile, Kanika Dhillon is gearing up for Raksha Bandhan with Himanshu Sharma and an untitled with Rajkumar Hirani, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
