Kannada actor Yuvan Hariharan shares about the efforts to get familiar with the Hindi language!
Kannada actor Yuvan Hariharan was so excited about working in a Bollywood film that he polished his Hindi speaking skills for his role in The Y.
Yuvan grew up and studied in Karnataka. He said, “Hindi was my third language in school. Although I knew how to read and write, it was difficult for me to speak fluently.”
When he was offered the role in the Hindi film, he started watching Hindi movies regularly. “I started speaking to people in my friends circle who knew Hindi well,” he shared about the efforts to get familiar with the language.
Yuvan also did an acting course at the Roshan Taneja School of Acting. “I had to deliver dialogues in Hindi, so that gave me enough confidence. Our team also did a three-month workshop prior to the shooting,” said the actor.
According to him, all Indian languages are the same when it comes to pride. “If given an opportunity, I would love to learn as many languages as possible. Now I’m happy that I got the opportunity to learn how to speak in Hindi fluently,” said Yuvan.
Helmed by Kannada director Girideva Raaj, The Y will release on Jan 6, 2023.
