Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi roped in for ‘Mission Majnu’

Actors Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra, who have impressed celebrated filmmakers and viewers alike with their versatility have been roped in for RSVP and Guilty By Association’s upcoming collaboration Mission Majnu. Renowned for his debut with Slumdog Millionaire, Sharib shone in Filmistaan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and The Family Man, and Kumud Mishra made an indelible impact with films such as Filmistaan, Jolly LLB, Thappad, Article 15, and Airlift. Given their remarkable body of work, both the actors have been roped in for integral roles in the RSVP and Guilty By Association production through casting director Mukesh Chhabra. While the details of their roles are currently under wraps, their joining the team has further fortified the existing cast of Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna.

Director Shantanu Baagchi says, “We welcome Sharib and Kumud on board. As a director, it is reassuring to have such amazing actors who will elevate the script to make it an exciting watch.” Kumud Mishra says, “I am excited to be a part of this gripping story.” Sharib Hashmi says, “I am extremely delighted and thrilled to be a part of Mission Majnu. I was overwhelmed by the script of the film. What makes it riveting for me is that it is strongly themed on patriotism and valour. I am honored to be celebrating the hard work of RAW agents through this film.”

Mission Majnu chronicles India’s most ambitious RAW operation undertaken on Pakistani soil. The film is inspired by real events set in the 1970s and is the story of India’s most courageous mission in the heart of Pakistan that forever changed the relationship between the two nations. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala (RSVP) and Amar Butala and Garima Mehta (Guilty By Association Media), written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora, and Sumit Batheja, directed by Shantanu Baagchi and starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna. Mission Majnu will be shot extensively in Lucknow and Mumbai.
