KUNDANANI YOGA EXPERT BIJAY ANAND SHARES HOW THE DALAI LAMA HELPED HIM TO HONE HIS MEDITATION PRACTICE

I can’t meditate. My mind keeps wandering and I am not able to keep my focus.
These words are from none other than the revered Dalai Lama.

When I heard him say this on a live telecast, It kind of liberated me.” says actor and Kundalini Yoga teacher, Bijay J. Anand.

Says he, “Before I heard these words from the Dalai Lama, I was always in distress that despite being one of the most sought after Kundalini Yoga teachers in the world, I could never meditate. After hearing the revered Tibetan monk, I felt that I was free to pursue meditation at my own pace and it did not matter if I failed and never found that inner silence.”

Over a period of time I realised that I did not need to sit for hours in meditation to begin with. Just starting with a 5-10 minute disciplined practice and slowly, over a period of months, making my way up to a one or two hour session was good enough.

Today, meditation has become an integral part of Bijay’s life and it is the one practice that he recommends to anyone suffering from the adverse psychological impact of the Coronavirus.

The combination of the practice of Kundalini Yoga and simple meditation has helped me to maintain my equilibrium, live with my inner peace and see the reality of Covid-19 for what it really is. It is an opportunity for mankind to come out of ignorance. To RESET and RISE.
