Le Mark Design Week organised to raise funds for the education of students in Maharashtra!
Le Mark School of Art recently hosted a spectacular event, Le Mark Design Week (LMDW) in collaboration with the Ladies Wing of Indian Merchant Chambers at Valia Banquets, Andheri West Mumbai to raise awareness and funds to benefit 4,000 children from 120 Anganwadis across the state.
The organizers of Le Mark Design Week also emphasized the importance of promoting Khadi, a sustainable material that plays a vital role in reviving Indian art and craft. By incorporating Khadi for all including women, kids, Mens wear & gender neutral collection, the event aimed to raise awareness about eco-friendly fashion and its impact on the environment.
Proud alumni of Le Mark School of Art, Label Swati Madhukar, collaborated with Antara Gold & Diamond, and their exquisite collections were adorned by both IMC and RMB Garima women. This collaboration showcased the seamless blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, capturing the essence of Indian art and culture.
The show was graced by renowned personalities such as Kiran Sippy and Amruta Rao, along with prominent fashion influencers. Adding glamour and star power to the event, supermodel Deepti Gujral, actress Navina Bole, and several jewellery influencers & celebrity stylists took the centre stage as showstoppers, mesmerizing the audience with their grace and charm.
The funds raised from this event will be used ensuring their holistic development through access to quality education, appropriate learning materials, nutritious meals, and a safe learning environment. These children are aged 3 to 6 years across 120 Anganwadis in Maharashtra and a focus remains on empowering these children by providing comprehensive support for their educational journey.
One of the highlights of the show was the inclusion of over 20 collections from fashion students. However, what made this event truly unique was the introduction of models walking the ramp to showcase photographs by photography students and product designs created by the interior design students. This fusion of different art forms added an extra layer of diversity and creativity to the event.
Le Mark Design Week proved to be a remarkable celebration of art, fashion, and creativity. It provided a platform for budding artists and designers to showcase their talents and express their unique visions. By promoting sustainable materials and collaborations with esteemed partners, the event highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Indian art and craft in the modern world.
