Live instruments such as mandolin, rabab, bouzouki, shehnai, and flute were used for Nilesh Ahuja’s ‘Mehendi Lagi’!
Music artiste #NileshAhuja has opened up about his new song #MehendiLagi, which features #StebinBen and #KavyaThapar. The song is out now, and the response has been amazing, he said. “It’s getting viral rapidly and a lot of people have started making Instagram reels on it which is crazy. The song has a very emotional vibe. It was shot in Mumbai itself,” he shared.
“It came up when me and legendary lyricist Kumar Paaji were jamming together. He came up with the idea of Mehendi Lagi Jab Tere Haath Mein, which was instant and the tune was finalised at that moment itself. Then it was locked by Anurag Bedi sir for Zee music company. We all had the vision to make the track sound grand and epic,” added the composer.
They used a lot of live instruments such as mandolin, rabab, bouzouki, shehnai, and flute. “They were used to give the song a very traditional feel with a blend of modern sounds to make it richer, and Stein’s voice has a great feel towards the song. He sang really well,” he said. Music videos are trending these days, in fact he feels that some of them were more appreciated than Bollywood movie songs. “My last song Thoda Thoda Pyaar featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Neha Sharma has been one of the most viral songs of this year and became a cult and everlasting track. Now the same team is back with Mehendi Lagi, so I hope it gets appreciated by the audience. I will keep trying and making soothing music for my fans and the country,” said Nilesh.
