“Lockdown Film Festival” by ‘Virus Marathi’
During the national lockdown everybody is confined to the four walls of their homes. Passing time is the biggest issue for many. A lot of people are surprising themselves with their latent talents and quite a few are seen indulging in their hobbies. Virus Marathi has decided to hold a lockdown film festival and urged all you creative people to be a participant.
Have you made a great short film or documentary using all your creativity during the lockdown? If not, get ready immediately and send your films to Virus Marathi as soon as possible. During this time many young filmmakers with out of the box ideas are making good films and some of them are making good use of this time to make good documentaries and short films even on mobile. It’s a golden opportunity for them to be part of this “Virus Marathi” initiative.
In this unique digital film festival, three prizes will be given each in both short film and documentary categories. The first prize is Rs. 7500 / -, the second prize is Rs. 5000 / – and the third prize is Rs. 3000/- and writer Arvind Jagtap, actress Sonali Kulkarni, director Santosh Kolhe and director Sameer Patil will be the judges. The top ten selected films will be screened on Virus Marathi’s YouTube channel. And all the award winning filmmakers will get a chance to work with Virus Marathi post-lockdown.
The film should be shot following all the rules of lockdown and not no worrying about technical specifications. Even a film shot on mobile is eligible but the quality should be good and also it should be neatly edited, states Virus Marathi. Films participating in this festival are not subject bound and there is no time constraint. To participate in this festival, entry forms are available on Virus Marathi’s facebook page.
