‘Lollipop’ is a first of its kind app which will only cater to 18 plus audience
Taking a cue from the Prime Minister’s Make in India initiative, Mumbai based company Almighty Tech Films LLP, has decided to launch an OTT, Lollipop. Lollipop will be available on IOS & Android from early 2021. Lollipop will offer affordable and curated content that will have pan India appeal.
Lollipop proposes content that is India centric, popular, and mass-based. In Phase1, special focus is on Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh , Rajasthan ,Uttarakhand ,Gujarat & Bengal; Phase 2 proposes to cover Orissa and Assam.
The price of the subscription has been decided in keeping with the health of the economy and the damage Covid 19 has caused to the spending capacity of the common man. The subscription rate when calculated on a per-day basis is about 50 paise per day.
“Spoil the TG with options be it content or languages is the main mantra at Lollipop. Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati are the languages that the content will be available within a span of 2 years” announces the Chief Content Officer – Arshad Ashfaque Khan.
“Popular entertainment, Crime Infotainment, Erotica & Sex Education will be the main pillars on which the content strategy will rest. It’s a first of its kind app which will only cater to 18 plus audience who can’t afford expensive subscription and are not satisfied with the free content available on youtube etc.”
Lollipop will start with 8 Hindi Original Web Series, 2 Bhojpuri Original Web Series, 1 Punjabi Original Web Series. Top Production Houses have been engaged in producing multiple projects for platform which includes renowned production house Bohra Bros which has produced films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Shahid, Shaitan, Tanu Weds Manu in the past.

The management strongly believes that this OTT/App will tickle the heart of Youth in India & Indians world over specially in Fiji, Australia, UAE, UK, Bangladesh, Austria & Canada to name a few.
