‘Loop Lapeta’ Producers Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar share a photo with Taapsee Pannu

Sometime back Taapsee Pannu announced her new film titled ‘Loop Lapeta’. From the name itself one can guess it’s a comedy film. Actually it’s a thriller comedy which is an official adaptation of German classic, Tom Tykwer directed Run Lola Run which was released in 1998. Taapsee will reprise the role of Franka Potente while Tahir Raj Bhasin will be seen as her boyfriend, originally portrayed by Moritz Bleibtreu. The indian adaptation is helmed by Aakash Bhatia.

While announcing her new movie Taapsee wrote, “Right, so here’s yet another announcement from my stable. I’m on a roll. Or shall I say in a loop? Stoked to announce Sony Picture India and Ellipsis Entertainment’s crazy thriller-comedy, “LOOOP LAPETA”, an adaptation of the cult classic “Run Lola Run.” Looking forward to the roller-coaster with my director Aakash Bhatia, my co-star, Tahir Raj Bhasin and the amazing folks at Ellipsis Entertainment (Tanuj, Atul) and Sony!”

Two of the producers of “Looop Lapeta”, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar, shared a picture during the prep (pre-lockdown, of course) with Taapsee Pannu. The drama-comedy is an official Indian adaptation of the iconic “Run Lola Run” co-starring Tahir Raj Bhasin. The shoot was to start in April till but Covid 19 pandemic forced it to postpone it. Things are expected to resume later this year once the lockdown is lifted.
