Los Angeles based #SomyAli’s favourite place is Rajasthan!

Social activist Somy has been to various places, but it’s Rajasthan that’s captured her heart. “Rajasthan is literally my favourite place in the whole world. Hopefully, I get time and an approved tourist visa to visit soon. I love Jaipur and the palaces that have been transformed into hotels are breathtaking,” said the US-based former Bollywood actress.

As a South Asian, she has always preferred summer. “Hence, my family and I moved to Miami when I was kid. It’s extremely rare for Miami to get cold. It’s literally like Mumbai weather,” said the founder of NGO No More Tears.

Her excuse for enjoying winter is going to visit her younger brother in Los Angeles where it gets cold enough for a Floridian to enjoy the weather and wear a coat. As for her preferred winter holiday destination, she shared, “Los Angeles always and forever. My brother lives there and I really like the city.”

During winter, she loves to dig into samosas and have a warm cup of masala chai. With her NGO it’s rather difficult to get away, but since her team saves lives all over the US, she tries to add a “tad bit of entertainment to my work trips.”
