Maera Mishra set to essay her first negative role in ‘Guddan…Tumse Na Ho Payega’
Zee TV’s popular fiction show, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, has been a favourite amongst TV viewers with its unique and never-seen-before concept revolving around the country’s youngest Saas, younger than the bahus of the household she marries into! Having intrigued and entertained the viewers with the interesting story around Guddan (Kanika Mann) and Akshat’s (Nishant Singh Malkani) love life, the show witnessed a 20-year leap after the tragic death of Akshat and Guddan as they attempted to save their only daughter.
With the latter essayed by Kanika Mann herself, the show now revolves around the ups and downs of Choti Guddan’s life. While Savy Thakur entered as Agastya, the hero in her life, there is another character who is all set to turn Choti Guddan’s life upside and that is none other than Agastya’s wife, Nia
Stepping into the show with her first ever negative character, television actress Maera Mishra is beyond thrilled to portray the grey character of Nia. Speaking about the role, Maera said, “I would be entering the show Guddan… Tumse Na Ho Payega as Nia which is quite a complicated character. While on the outside Nia is portrayed as a perfect bahu and mother, the catch is that she is completely opposite to what people think she is. This would be my first time portraying a grey character on screen and I’m loving the whole vibe of it. Nia has so many shades and layers to herself that it is so much fun to play all of it. I’m absolutely thrilled with this whole opportunity and it is indeed wonderful to be back on set. I share a great bond with Savy and Kanika. Infact I would say I have a very special bond with all the characters in the show, especially Pushpa Maa (Anahita Jahanbaksh)I hope the audiences like my performance as I step into the shoes of Nia.”
The 23-year old will now be stepping into this character after quite some time, however the actress was earlier approached to essay the character of Rhea Mehra in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, now played by Reyhna Pandit. Sadly, the actress had to turn down that opportunity due to the ongoing pandemic. Talking about her decision she said, “During the lockdown I had shifted to my hometown in Bareilly and around end of June was when the show planned to resume shoot. At that time my dad was too critical of me travelling back to Mumbai amidst the pandemic. Though later, I did successfully convince him to let me come back to Mumbai and that’s when I started shooting for Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega”
Stepping into Agastya’s life as his to be wife, Nia is all set to bring various twists and turns in Choti Guddan’s path while the latter fights to save her restaurant from being demolished by Pushpa. Will she be successful in doing so? Will Agastya ever be able to reveal the soft corner he has for Choti Guddan?
